Inspiration is the spark and Motivation is the fuel

Inspiration:

Growing up I have listened to stories and incidences. Stories that have become a part of my life and inspired me to do a lot of things.

The most efficient way to deliver powerful thought is through a story. A proverbial statement like "All that glisters is not gold" makes more sense when it is delivered with an illustration. I have collected a list of inspiring lectures and stories and movies here. If you like to add any more of these let me know.

Seabiscuit[2003]:
Seabiscuit is the story of a people's despair and how they come together to form a family and helping out each other. Charles Howard is a thriving entrepreneur who turns to horse racing after losing his son. Tom Smith, a mumbling, sensitive horse trainer who sees the untapped potential of Seabiscuit hiding under his flawed outer shell. Tobey Maguire is Red Pollard, a stubborn, oversized jockey who is determined to prove to the world that he has what it takes to be a champion. Together, these men use their individual gifts to mold Seabiscuit into a national icon, culminating in a showdown with Triple Crown winner War Admiral.

Sardar[1993]:
Sardar, The Iron Man of India. This movie is about Sardar Patel during the pre Independence and post independence period. You can see Sardar's excellent political maneuvering as he is not only dealing with Queen's men but also with with skirmishes with the local Indian Parties. He is rude and and he is shrewd but his only excuse is he will clean up the map of India. He can easily shut down a person and but also give him an opportunity to grow in an area where he deserves. The movie ends with Sardar resting in a village saying that today from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, there is one independent nation. I still wonder how would India have been different if Sardar would have been the Prime Minister.
